Penny is a torturer specializing in poison and hallucinations to bring pain and force people to do things to themselves. She's also an interrogator. I won't be playing any torture scenes out without enthusiastic cooperation from the other player, and in all likelihood I will be asking you 'is this okay? are you alright with this or would you prefer this?' every other tag. I would rather ask permission too much than make anyone uncomfortable.

That said, even though we'll be in OOC contact throughout, if we're going to do a torture log a basic template of what's good/not good would help me out a lot to keep track of specific squicks and limits.

1. What characters do you play and what is your preferred method of OOC communication?

2. What sort of torture are you up for?
Penny can do physical torture, mental/psychological torture, body horror, isolation or emotional torture. I would prefer not to do sexual torture.

3. Do you have any particular squicks?
Common examples include fingernails, eyes, teeth, cannibalism or insects. If you list something here I won't even bring it up during OOC talks, but if, during the course of a log, you discover that something bothers you more than you thought it would, just let me know and I'll add it here and change tack.

As a note, Penny is extremely creative with the hallucinations she imposes on people, so even if your squicks seem kind of weird or unlikely to come up (for example, sci-fi sorts of squicks), it's better for me to know ahead of time.

3) Again, I have no particular squicks. Well, I do but not such that I'd have a problem tagging them out. Watching them in a movie would be a whole other can of worms.

1. Darius and Some, and I prefer private plurks or AIM. You have me on both of those. Penny probably already knows Darius.

2. OTA, fond of isolation tortures.

3. I prefer to pretend that waste issues don't exist, about 90% of the time.

1. Tim Drake and Plurk seems to be the absolute fastest way to get my attention. AIM and email are good too.

2. I don't think I want to know what "body horror" is, so let's rule that out. The others - okay, to a degree. I'm not sure how far I'd be comfortable in an extremely gorey physical torture scene. Anything like vivisection - that's off screen.

3. Cannibalism, eyes, any extreme wounds - I am that person who covers her face during CSI. A LOT. I can manage describing some wounds - I can do open breaks, but not slashed open and things that are inside are now outside. Like that? ALREADY FLIPPING SKEEVED.

Isolation wouldn't bother Tim by itself. He's got a high pain threshold - by no means am I saying he's immune to it, but like. The criminals that crack after one punch? Nope. You better strap him down and break out the hardware (and then break me out of the log). I think she'll get the furthest, fastest with psychological/emotional torture. It's no secret where his weak spots are.

1. The Signless, and Plurk (mister_inkwell) and AIM (misterporcelain) are probably the best ways to get ahold of me quickly. PM is also good!

2. I'm good with most torture types, but I'm especially always up for emotional/psychological torture (least chance of things that squick me, has fun lasting consequences), and I am a fan of body horror. Also, because of the character I play, physical torture involving painful restraint and/or burning is always appropriate.

3. Basically, assume everything above the neck is off-limits for physical torture involving blades (hitting with hands or blunt objects or even minor burning would be fine, just no cutting things up/off). Things like blades or needles or tubes being inserted under the skin or into sensitive areas like the mouth and eyes are a nope. Also, I have a pretty bad parasite and/or 'things living in other things/eating their way out of other things' squick, though I doubt that'll ever come up. Things also tend to gross me out the more in-detail they're described, so if anything is ever teetering on the edge just don't go into to much detail beyond the essentials and I should be okay.

Good to know, and re: insects, that's actually something that could come up, since she uses those sorts of tricks in canon. I'll be sure to shy away from them with you. Thanks for responding!

1. Pruna, Shion and Ian Gallagher best ways to contact me are AIM when I am on, or private plurk or a message to any one of my journals. Pretty much whatever but things that ping to my email are always a sure way to make sure I get them despite timezones and work

2. I am open to anything at all. Character wise Pruna is trained to hold out under torture so would take a lot of Penny's skills, Shion is pretty easy to break, especially with mental or emotional torture. Ian is somewhere between them.

3. My only big squick is teeth, teeth in brains, endless amounts of teeth coming from your mouth (idek...)

1. I play Eponine and Calico. Grab me on plurk or aim or pm; whatevs, trevs.

2. I would very much prefer you don't sexually torture either girl either. But otherwise, do as you wish. Isolation wouldn't bother Eps as much as Calico though; Eps is often isolated anyway.

3. I am really scared of dogs... but I don't think that counts as a squick and it doesn't bother me writing about them... basically, DO AS YE WISH AND GIVE NOTHING BACK. (I may be watching Pirates of the Caribbean - shhhhh) As always, I'm up for anything.
